The fee is based upon the hours estimated to complete the engagement. The number of hours required for any given engagement increases with complexity of the nature the engagement including:

• Standard of Value required
• Premise of Value required
• The quantity of Assets to be appraised
• Complexity of appraising the Tangible Assets
• Availability of Comparable Assets
• Special Requirements

Our fee can range from as low as $1,000 for a limited "Asset Appraisal" engagement to in excess of $5,000 for a more extensive Appraisal.

The Client does not decide these criteria but rather the nature of the Appraisal Engagement itself. Nevertheless, we do all we can to accommodate our client's needs within their given financial constraints but will never compromise our standards.

• 50% of the total fee is due upon signing and the remaining 50% is due upon completion
• Our non-refundable retainer of 50% of the total fee is due upon execution of our agreement
• The retainer will be applied to your final billing

Our standard hourly rates for this type of work and additional services plus travel and other out-of-pocket costs such as report production, postage, long distance, etc. are as follows:

• Kent "Lance" Schmidt: Deposition, Trial Prep & Testimony = $300
• The minimum charge for depositions is 4 hours (at $300 per hour)
• Kent "Lance" Schmidt: Research and Report Conception = $300
• Senior Staff = $200
• Staff = $100
• Administrative = $50
• Rates not subject to increases until 18 mo. after date of agreement
